2018 AMT Next Gen 40 Under 40 Awards Update

Nominations are closed and the selection of winners completed.

I want to provide everyone with an update on the 2018 Next Gen Aircraft Maintenance Professionals Awards Program. The 40 winners have been selected! Congratulations to the 40 individuals and to everyone who was nominated. We are in the process of contacting all the selected winners. 

The selected individuals came from all segments of the industry; general aviation, business aviation, airlines, repair stations and MROs, education and on. Some were in leadership positions, some mechanics, teachers and support personal, just about any role that directly supports aircraft maintenance.

We are in the process of collecting additional details and putting together the winning profiles for the August/September 2018 issue of AMT.

Ronald (Ron) Donner has spent his entire life devoted to aviation and he holds FAA certificates as an A&P/IA, and a Commercial Pilot with Single and Multi Engine Land, Instrument Airplane and Glider ratings. Ron has worked in a variety of maintenance related roles, both technical and management in general aviation as well as with a major airline. Ron was the recipient of the 2012 National Air Transportation Association (NATA) Aviation Journalism award.
