DFW Airport, TX - The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) recently unveiled their new High C Gates expansion project, becoming the first airport to install Pluie’s patented self-sanitizing changing tables in their new smart restrooms.

Pluie is the world’s first and only self-sanitizing diaper changing table for public restrooms, powered by a patented UV-C light system known to kill 99.9% of germs including influenza, e. Coli, and coronavirus. The UV-C light system activates when the table is closed, sanitizing the changing surface in just 60 seconds after each use.

The High C gates enhance the customer experience with innovative technology such as dynamic glass windows, large digital information screens, unique artwork to encourage relaxation, and smart restrooms.

“We are thrilled to join DFW Airport in welcoming customers to the new gates just in time for summer travel season at American’s largest hub,” said Jim Moses, American Airlines Vice President of DFW Operations. “This milestone paves the way for further improvements to Terminal C - sure to impress our loyal customers from the region and those who connect through DFW from across our global network. We thank DFW Airport for their continued partnership and look forward to a bright future together as DFW’s hometown airline.”

DFW’s new High C Gates (C35-C39) expansion is the first phase of the Terminal C Pier renovation and one of many major construction projects on the horizon for the American Airlines hub. As construction continues, DFW has plans to install additional Pluie changing tables at the airport.

“As the demand for travel increases and we emerge from the pandemic, families are more concerned than ever with the health, safety, and comfort of their children while traveling,” says Pluie founder and CEO Addie Gundry. “I commend DFW and American Airlines for prioritizing the health and safety of their customers and seeing the benefits for both travelers and operations in installing our innovative Pluie changing tables. Pluie means less harsh chemicals, less staff cleaning time, and a better customer experience.”

Pluie’s breakthrough design also features a retractable safety strap that won’t collect dirt when not in use,  attached multipurpose handles to keep diaper bags and purses from being placed on a contaminated surface, and a plush foam leak-proof cushion.

The table was named a Fast Company 2021 World Changing Idea and TIME Magazine Best Invention. Pluie changing tables are now installed in healthcare facilities, major attractions, sports arenas, and more, in 20 states nationwide.
