Southwest Airlines added another important destination to its growing list of cities available nonstop from Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) on Nov. 4, with an inaugural flight to Tucson.

As part of Southwest’s continued expansion of service from Silicon Valley, the carrier is making it easier for those living and doing business in Southern Arizona to travel through convenient Tucson International Airport (TUS). The route is offered daily and began operating in Southwest’s November flight schedule: San Jose -Tucson Tucson -San Jose WN 5444 3:15 p.m. 6:30 p.m. Daily WN 3202 12:15 p.m. 1:50 p.m. Daily Average flight time is 145 minutes. Times of day shown are local.

“Building on our quarter-century of service in Silicon Valley, Southwest continues a concerted investment in San Jose by adding relevant new service and time-saving options that connect our customers with places important to them,” said Robert Alderete, station leader for Southwest’s operation at Mineta San Jose International Airport.

“I applaud CEO Gary Kelly and Southwest’s leadership for their continued focus on serving Silicon Valley travelers who prefer to choose SJC for their business and leisure travel plans,” said Director of Aviation John Aitken. “Nonstop flights to Tucson will be warmly welcomed by our community, especially as they are making travel plans for the upcoming holidays and beyond.”
