Halifax Stanfield International Airport (HSIA) has a new retail partner - New Scotland Clothing Co. The local business is located in the departures area near gate 18 and adds to a growing entrepreneurial kiosk program.

“We are committed to supporting local entrepreneurs,” says Ian Arthur, Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA) Chief Commercial Officer. “We have a number of Nova Scotia products available throughout the airport and our newest offering – New Scotland Clothing Company – provides our passengers with another retail option that supports local business and promotes our province.”

New Scotland Clothing Company was started in late 2014 by Scott and Kevin Saccary, brothers from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. They are competitive curlers and have represented Nova Scotia together in their junior curling years and Scott represented Nova Scotia at the Brier (Canadian Curling Championships) in March 2016. The two brothers live and breathe their proud Nova Scotia and Scottish heritage and have combined their passions for curling, family, culture and style to create the New Scotland Clothing Company. Their products, which depict Nova Scotia culture and pride, are being sold locally and throughout the world.

“We are very excited to announce our partnering with HIAA and want to sincerely thank them for this opportunity to benefit from the entrepreneurial kiosk program,” says Scott Saccary, co-founder of New Scotland Clothing Company. “Our brand promotes the diverse history and culture of Nova Scotia (New Scotland!). The HSIA kiosk program will allow us to tap into the millions of people that travel to and from our unique, diverse and thriving province including passengers flying to Glasgow, Scotland. These travellers can now pick up a T-shirt to show off their New Scotland pride and wear it getting off the plane in Old Scotland. We want to thank everyone for this continuous support as it has provided us the opportunity to build our business from an idea just over a year ago, to a successful reality.”
