CO: United Express Flight Evacuated After Plane Erupts in Flames on Denver Airport Runway

A United Express jet caught fire Sunday after landing at Denver International Airport, officials said, forcing 63 passengers and crew members to evacuate the aircraft.

SkyWest flight 5869, a CRJ700 regional airliner operating under United Express from Aspen, Colo., to Denver, landed safely Sunday afternoon at the airport, then “experienced engine issues,” according to statements from both SkyWest and United Express.
