Transforming waiting time into valuable time, bringing sports to one of the symbolic places of travel and the meeting of people and cultures. 'Move and Fly' was born with this objective, a project developed by Asi (Italian Sports and Social Associations) with Aeroporti di Roma, which aims to integrate moments of physical activity into the passenger experience within Leonardo da Vinci airport, in Fiumicino. The project, in its first test phase, involves the installation of two areas, one for fitness and one dedicated to mini-golf, within the Departure areas of Terminals T1 and T3, where passengers will be able to turn waiting into moments of leisure and well-being. Each station will include qualified instructors, also proficient in English, to accompany travelers in the various experiences. Particular attention will also be paid to younger guests. The sports stations will be able to offer children a dynamic alternative before taking their flight, encouraging interaction with peers in a highly multicultural environment. "At the heart of 'Move and Fly' there is a precise vision - explains the president of Asi, Claudio Barbaro -: the airport is the symbol of travel, sport is the symbol of movement. Uniting these two worlds means offering passengers a new way of experiencing waiting, stimulating physical activity in a traditionally sedentary context and promoting well-being, sociality and sharing".

"Fiumicino is investing in sport as a tool for well-being and sociality - says the mayor of Fiumicino Mario Baccini -. This is demonstrated by the numerous interventions we are carrying out in the area: from Pala Fersini to Cetorelli, to the Swimming Center, up to the requalification of the skating rink and the construction of a facility dedicated to archery. We want state-of-the-art sports centers, capable of hosting high-level competitions, expanding the boundaries of the local sports offer. This vision also concerns public spaces: the new park projects, in fact, include areas dedicated to outdoor sports and physical activity. It is, therefore, significant that Aeroporti di Roma, a company always attentive to innovation and the evolution of services, chooses to invest in this direction. 'Move & Fly' interprets a vision we share: making sport accessible and close to people". 'Waiting is Energy', the message that accompanies the visual identity of 'Move and Fly' and characterizes the spaces dedicated to the project within the terminals, is therefore more than a claim: it is an invitation to change perspective on waiting.
