Clare Municipal Airport to Host ‘the Great Eggstravaganza’

Apr. 3—Clare Municipal Airport will be hosting 'The Great Eggstravaganza' on April 8.

For this event, pilots from the airport will drop over 1,800 plactic eggs from an airplane.

Children 12 and under can retrieve the eggs and recycle them for candy as well as potentially win prizes from local businesses that can be found in marked eggs. Egg drop times includes 10:30 a.m. for kids ages 0-4, 10:45 for kids ages 5-8 and 11 a.m. for kids ages 9-12.

Children must register to participate in the event with registration times going from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. It is suggested the families allow themselves time to park, register, and prepare for the drop.

Children's activities will also be available during the event and the Easter Bunny will also be arriving by plane.

Parents are advised to dress their children warm and bring Easter basket.

Though this event will still occur in the event of snow or rain, weather may affect plane movement. The hunt will still occur on the ground.

Additional volunteers are needed before and during this event.
