2 Injured in Scissor Lift Accident at Carlsbad Airport
Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in an apparent accident involving a scissor lift at the county airport in Carlsbad, according to firefighters.
Medics airlifted one of the victims from the scene, while a second was taken to a hospital in an ambulance, according to Carlsbad Fire Department Battalion Chief Eric Evonsion, who did not have information about the extent or severity of their injuries.
It happened about 3 p.m. at McClellan-Palomar Airport off Palomar Airport Road, Evonsion said. The accident involved a scissor lift, but there were no immediate details of how it occurred.
No other information was immediately available Tuesday evening.
