ATLANTA, Ga. (AP) -- Airport officials say the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will expand a security checkpoint to help alleviate long lines.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that officials expect to open five additional lanes at the South Security Checkpoint within the next year. This would provide nine lanes for TSA screening near Delta Air Lines' check-in counters.
