With extensive experience in architecture and airport design, Nazanin Kamyab has swiftly made her mark as a leader in aviation planning and design. Recently, she led the schematic design phase for Tampa International Airport’s new Concourse D and is set to oversee its construction phase. She also manages key projects at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, including a new mid-field concourse and tunnel system.
Kamyab’s role at AUS emphasizes sustainable practices that go beyond environmental impacts, including social equity and economic prosperity. Her client-focused approach ensures projects stay on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the airport's broader vision.
“It's really about making people's experiences as they go through the airports,” she says. “As an architect, I really strive to curate spaces for people.”
She has contributed to projects at several major U.S. airports, including JFK, Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, and Phoenix Sky Harbor, to name a few. Her work spans everything from terminal designs to fuel administration buildings, each project benefiting from her diverse perspective and commitment to innovation.
