Mid-Canada Mod Center (MC2) is celebrating 25 years of aircraft modifications. The company was founded in 1996 by the late Barry Aylward and Bill Arsenault as a division of well-known Kitchener Aero. Since then, Canadian and international operators have trusted the company for specialized upgrades to the flight decks and cabins of thousands of aircraft, large and small.

“Like many organizations, over the last 25 years, Mid-Canada Mod Center has endured challenges, mourned its share of losses and prevailed to celebrate many victories along the way,” said Bill Arsenault, president of Mid-Canada Mod Center. “We have grown the business one client at a time thanks to the extraordinary talents of the entire Mid-Canada Mod team, past and present.”

With roots going back 40 years, the last few have marked a significant company evolution. In 2018, Avionics Design Services joined the Mid-Canada Mod Center family, and the company’s Kitchener operation moved to larger hangar facilities. Since its opening on October 1st, 1996, the company has become one of Canada’s premier independent avionics integrator and support center.

The future is what continues to drive the close-knit team forward. “The last 25 years have been gratifying, but we are only just getting started,” Arsenault explained. “As we continue to build our capabilities and add to our already deep talent pool, we are positioning Mid-Canada Mod Center to take new challenges head-on, with true Canadian spirit and grit.”
