Creedmoor, North Carolina-based Twin Commander Aircraft, providing factory support for the world’s premier twin-engine personal and business series of airplanes, has hired Andrew Wilson to the position of Technical Service Manager. Wilson comes to Twin Commander most recently from Dynamic Aviation, the operator of a fleet of aircraft servicing various government contracts. While there, Wilson served as Maintenance Controller and Flight Operations Support. His stint at Dynamic Aviation followed positions as head of his own inspection and maintenance operation, maintenance contract management for the U.S. Air Force, and FAA compliance oversight duties.
With his broad experience in airframe, engine, hydraulic systems, and avionics, Wilson is well prepared to be Twin Commander’s point person interacting with field technicians, engineering, and operators. As Technical Service Manager he will be responsible for interfacing with the company’s worldwide network of Factory Authorized Service Centers and their expert technicians and parts managers.
“I’ve had a passion for airplanes my whole life,” Wilson said. “To be able to bring together my love of airplanes, of tinkering and troubleshooting, and of business operations, is a dream come true.” When first meeting Twin Commander Business Unit Head Brian Harbaugh, Wilson said Harbaugh instilled in him the storied history of the airplane and what they mean to their owners and the people who support them.
“We are optimistic about the future,” Harbaugh said. “With people like Andrew on our team we can continue to serve and support our owners and the Factory Authorized Service Center network well into the future. We know how passionate our owners are about their airplanes and the history they represent, and we are proud to be able to continue that tradition.”
Wilson is replacing longtime Technical Service Manager Geoffrey Pence, who recently retired. Pence was with the company for more than two decades. “Andrew has some big shoes to fill, but I’m confident that our customers will love working with him,” Harbaugh said.
