October 10, 2017 - West Star Aviation is pleased to announce James (Jim) Woodliff as its South Central Regional Sales Manager. As RSM, Jim will be responsible for sales activities in Texas and Oklahoma while also building and maintaining customer relationships. Jim started out as a Jet Engine Mechanic in 1984 for USAF where he oversaw the engine test cell operations on F100 , F16 and F15 aircraft. His previous experience within corporate aviation extends from working as a Crew Chief at Standard Aero and most recently as an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor at Richardson Aviation from 2014-August 2017. In his position at Richardson Aviation he oversaw a crew of 8 technicians and their day to day operations of the corporate flight department.
Jim participated and completed factory sponsored training including run and taxi on Gulfstream, Falcon and Raytheon aircraft and factory systems training from Honeywell, Rockwell Collins and Pratt & Whitney, as well as airport ground ops and towing.
