Nov. 2—AMMAN — The Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) and Bell Textron Inc., an American aerospace manufacturer, signed an agreement to purchase 10 Bell 505 helicopters, as part of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference SOFEX 2022.
The SOFEX conference kicked off on Tuesday in the Aqaba Governorate, in the presence of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The agreement, signed by RJAF Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Hiyasat and Patrick Moulay, Bell Textron's senior vice president, International Commercial Sales, includes the delivery of the aircraft with a flight training device and a comprehensive computer-based training package to enable an enhanced approach to basic and advanced rotorcraft flight training.
The signing was attended by the US ambassador, representatives of the Embassy of Canadian in Jordan, and senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF).
