The Air Charter Safety Foundation welcomes the Van Nuys, California-based Pegasus Elite Aviation to its roster of more than 210 member companies. The ACSF is a non-profit aviation safety organization that provides programs to enable the highest levels of safety in personal, charter and business aviation.

As an ACSF member, Pegasus Elite Aviation will be able to participate in the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), which is administered by the ACSF in partnership with the Federal Aviation Authority. The ASAP makes use of member employee input to identify significant safety concerns and issues, operational deficiencies, non-compliance with regulations, deviations from company policies and procedures, and unusual events. Each report is investigated, and subsequently, corrective actions are determined based on a non-disciplinary approach to flight safety.

“We’re very gratified to join the ACSF’s ranks,” said David Mendelson, co-founder, president and CEO, Pegasus Elite Aviation. “Because, ultimately, Pegasus is laser-focused on safety as a vital component of our mission, we know that we can advance that element of our operations through our active participation in ACSF. At the same time, actively working with ASAP will also contribute to running an all-around safer operation.”

“On behalf of our rapidly increasing membership, we welcome Pegasus Elite Aviation to the Air Charter Safety Foundation,” said Bryan Burns, ACSF’s president. “The fact that we’re now more than 210 members strong and growing is proof positive that this organization is having a dramatic effect on the safety aspect of our industry. We look forward to Pegasus both benefiting from and expanding the critical safety factor that is ACSF’s primary mission.”
