The Commercial Aerospace business of ST Engineering has officially signed three new agreements with Collins Aerospace to improve component support capabilities.

The new multi-year agreements both extend already existing agreements and also establish new areas of collaboration, integrating MRO and OEM expertise.

New Boeing 787 component repair support

Under this new contract, ST Engineering is performing repairs on fan assembly electronics boards—made by Collins Aerospace—that are used on Boeing 787 aircraft. By offering repair-over-replacement solutions, the two companies hope to reduce turnaround times for Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) repair and improve overall efficiency.

Expanded OEM spare parts support

To increase availability of narrowbody aircraft components in ST Engineering’s portfolio, the company is expanding a multi-platform agreement to use Collins Aerospace Power & Controls spare parts for LRU component MRO. This also improves the quality of OEM-approved component repair support that ST Engineering can offer.

Extended lifecyle repair support for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 LRUs

The other extended contract covers lifecycle repair support for LRU components on B737 and A320 aircraft. This effort will be supported through Collins Aerospace’s FlightSense.

Kok Wah continued,  “The expanded scope of these agreements deepens our collaboration and enhances the value of our Maintenance-By-the-Hour program, in-house component MRO capabilities for the 787, 737 MAX and A320neo and distribution and material services.”
