Citadel Aviation has announced plans to acquire Mach 1 Aviation Group, with the transaction’s closing anticipated for the end of September 2026.

Savannah, Georgia-based Mach 1 Aviation Group is an FAA Part 145 certified repair station that specializes in services like:

• Aircraft-on-ground (AOG) response
• Engine and airframe systems
• Entry-into-service programs
• SATCOM and cabin communication systems
• Avionics

Many of Mach 1 Aviation Group’s services focus on Gulfstream aircraft, including support for airframe, avionics and cabin systems.

By acquiring Mach 1, Citadel Aviation is expanding its operational capacity on the East Coast of the United States and adding dedicated AOG response to its portfolio.

Once the acquisition is complete, Mach 1 will keep serving existing customers under its FAA Part 145 certification while turning the Savannah location into an AOG coordination point and East Coast service hub for Citadel.

This will give Mach 1 customers access to nose-to-tail support from Citadel, such as:

• Maintenance, repair and overhaul
• Cabin interior refurbishment
• Engineering
• Connectivity
• Technology upgrades
• Support for narrow and widebody VIP aircraft

For existing Citadel customers, the acquisition provides a dedicated source for rapid-response support for Gulfstream aircraft.
