Korean Air has chosen the Aviation Suite by Ramco Systems to streamline operations at the airline’s Engine Maintenance Center, with the platform recently going live.

By implementing Ramco’s Aviation Suite, Korean Air aims to:

  • Improve productivity
  • Optimize complex operations
  • Expand engine maintenance capabilities

As Korean Air is opening a new engine MRO hub in 2027, the company plans to use Ramco’s aviation software as a digital component of operations.

Ramco Aviation Suite helps to integrate processes across departments like:

  • Maintenance
  • Finance
  • Customer Support
  • Billing

The scalable platform also enables:

  • Integration with external and internal platforms
  • Real-time delivery of data on engine maintenance operations
  • Insights into capacity, production throughput, P&L performance and cost and revenue

Additionally, Ramco’s Aviation Suite helps to reduce paper use in the hangar by offering mobile applications for technicians to manage performance maintenance execution, with 400+ engineers and mechanics at Korean Air now using Mechanic Anywhere.

Key benefits of the Mechanic Anywhere application include:

  • Reduced manual bottlenecks
  • Shorter queue times
  • Enhanced workflows and efficiency
  • Quicker turnarounds

Korean Air Senior Vice President and Head of Maintenance & Engineering Division Chan Woo Jung said, “This milestone represents a bold step toward redefining how we operate in the aviation industry.”

Chan Woo Jung continued, “By partnering with Ramco, we are embracing a digital-first approach that will allow us to scale with confidence and deliver exceptional value, addressing the complexity and precision required in engine maintenance where efficiency is critical to meeting customer demands.”

“Looking ahead, this transformation supports our vision for our upcoming engine maintenance cluster, where predictive maintenance, real-time intelligence and data-driven, automated processes will enable us to achieve new levels of operational excellence and agility,” added Chan Woo Jung.

Ramco Systems Executive Vice President & SBU Head – Aviation, Aerospace and Defense Sam Jacob said, “It has been an honor to work with Korean Air to digitally transform their engine maintenance operations.”

Jacob proceeded, “Their relentless focus on innovation and process optimization, powered by Ramco’s next-generation Aviation Suite, sets a new standard for excellence in the industry.”

He noted, “Through real-time visibility, mobile-first workflows and seamless integration, we enable forward-thinking organizations like Korean Air to lead the industry with speed and resilience.”
