Southwest Aerospace Technologies (S.W.A.T.) has completed the move of its corporate and administrative offices to their new facility at the Georgetown Executive Airport (KGTU), and the maintenance hangar is fully operational.

Aircraft maintenance activities at the 12,000 square foot hangar have been underway for the last few months, while work on the office space and adjacent areas was completed. The expansion to the Executive Airport has enhanced S.W.A.T.’s service offerings, enabling the operation of a full-service aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).

“We are very excited that our new MRO is open for business,” said Kurt Encinias, president and CEO of S.W.A.T., “The expansion of our maintenance capabilities allows us to provide customers with the full range of services to meet all their maintenance needs.”

Encinas continued, “We have the capacity on-site to perform aircraft inspections, routine maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and aircraft modifications or upgrades, as well as engine removal and replacement. We look forward to welcoming customers to our facility.”

The company also operates an FAA/EASA/CAA/TCCA certified 145 repair station, located in east Georgetown along with its warehouse and parts and components inventory. S.W.A.T. is also an authorized Starlink distributor.

S.W.A.T. signed a long-term lease agreement with the City of Georgetown in December for the hangar and adjacent space, which totals 41,000 square feet. The large footprint gives S.W.A.T. the ability to continue its strategic expansion.

“We are committed to serving the needs of our worldwide customer base,” added Encinias, “Expanding our facilities along with our capabilities allows us to provide customers with more extensive maintenance support as well as help position us for continued growth.”

A grand opening celebration at the new facility was held on July 9th.
