ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Oct. 10, 2017 – BendixKing, a division of Honeywell (NYSE: HON), has increased its offering of Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast Out technologies with a new upgrade for existing aircraft currently using the Communication, Navigation and Identification 5000 Integrated Avionics System. This upgrade gives pilots and operators of CitationJet 525, 525A and 550 Bravo aircraft a quick, affordable and easy way to meet the Federal Aviation Administration’s Jan. 1, 2020, mandate for Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast.

BendixKing’s upgrade for its Communication, Navigation and Identification 5000 Integrated Avionics System (CNI 5000) is the simplest and most affordable way to bring new capabilities to the current traffic and surveillance system with a transition to Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B OUT). 

The CNI 5000 ADS-B Out upgrade provides the following benefits:

·         Simplified and affordable retrofit for your existing BendixKing CNI 5000 transponders

·         ADS-B OUT certified for the CitationJet 525, CitationJet 525A and Citation 550 Bravo

·         Meets FAA ADS-B OUT mandate requirements

“There are currently 20,731 business jet aircraft to be upgraded to ADS-B.
