How to Help 'Stuff a Plane' in Redlands Airport Association's Toy Drive
Nov. 8—The Redlands Airport Association is holding a "Stuff a Plane" toy drive to benefit the Salvation Army, San Bernardino Corps.
Collection boxes are at Redlands Municipal Airport, 1745 Sessums Drive; Redlands City Hall, 35 Cajon St., Suite 4; Riverside Municipal Airport, 6951 Flight Road; and at a number of businesses in Redlands, Mentone, Yucaipa, Highland, San Bernardino and Colton.
Among the businesses with collection boxes are Arthur's Restaurant, 1913 Mentone Blvd., Mentone; Hangar 24, 1710 Sessums Drive, Redlands; Fitness 19 in Redlands and Yucaipa; and Denny's restaurants in Redlands, Yucaipa, Highland, San Bernardino and Colton. Those who want to contribute are invited to drop off new, unwrapped toys at any of the donation box locations before Dec. 3.
The Salvation Army will distribute the toys to children in need, according to a news release.
The Redlands Airport Association will wrap the toy drive Dec. 4 with an event at Redlands Municipal Airport. The 10 a.m.-2 p.m. event includes a barbecue lunch and Young Eagles flights for ages 7 to 17, sponsored by Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 845. Those attending are asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy.
