Aug. 9, 2021

A single-engine plane with malfunctioning landing gear landed on its belly Saturday at Waterbury-Oxford Airport, state police said.

No injuries were reported, police said. Upon touching down at the Oxford airport, the plane’s landing gear became inoperable and the aircraft was damaged while skidding to a final rest. The plane was removed from the runway and federal aviation authorities will investigate, police said.
