SGL Group – The Carbon Company – will showcase its comprehensive range of graphite products suited for the heat treat (HT) industry at the 12^th showcase of Furnaces North America (FNA) on October 4 and 5 in Nashville, TN. SGL Group will be displaying a SIGRABOND® Performance grade, carbon-fiber reinforced carbon (CFRC) charging fixture, which unlike the standard weave pattern style, can be used for oil quenching. The fixture is a three tiered design, measuring 18” high x 24” wide x 36” long. SIGRABOND charging systems encompasses excellent technical properties, as well as being lightweight, sturdy, and energy efficient. These systems are considerably lighter than typical competing options such as steel, molybdenum or nickel-chrome alloys; creating less thermal mass, quicker heat up and cool down cycles, increased load capacity and reduced energy costs. SGL Group’s product is proven to retain its shape and not show signs of fatigue or warping after hundreds of furnace cycles, preventing part distortion, increasing the lifetime and reducing the cost of ownership for the fixture.
