AISATS Invests in Automated Aircraft Cleaning Machine
Air India SATS (AISATS) Airport Services is introducing an automated aircraft exterior cleaning at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi.
According to a report by Outlook India, the Nordic Dino II -- a computerized, automated system -- was able to clean one of Air India's A320 aircraft in one fourth of the time normally taken to clean a similar narrow-body plane.
The Outlook India report stated conventional cleaning methods require a minimum of five to six hours, however, the automated process, can do the job in two hours.
