It will serve as an authorized distributor for Hartzell Engine Technologies innovative I-Series aircraft cabin heaters, featuring combustion tubes fabricated from advanced In-conel® material.

Wichita, KS—November 17 ,2015—Hartzell Engine Technologies of Montgomery, Alabama, has entered into an agreement with GlobalParts.aero to have the Augusta, Kansas-based aviation parts supplier serve as an authorized distributor for its innovative I-Series aircraft cabin heaters, featuring combustion tubes fabricated from advanced Inconel® material.

“This I-Series heater is the first of Hartzell Engine Technologies’ line of aircraft cabin heating solutions and engine accessories that we have added to the GlobalParts.aero inventory,” noted Brad Vieux, GlobalParts.aero’s VP of Business Development. “We will stock both factory rebuilt units as well as new I-Series cabin heaters. Factory rebuilt heaters are available on an exchange basis and are backed by a 36 month or 1,000 hour (whichever comes first) warranty. Going forward, we hope to expand this relation-ship to encompass the company’s other products including its line of turbocharging systems, aircraft alternators, starters and fuel pumps,” he concluded.

“This innovative cabin heater features a combustion tube fabricated from Inconel® ma-terial that was developed for and proven over many years of military applications," said John Popel, Sales Manager at Hartzell Engine Technologies LLC. “It will provide substantially improved performance in extreme temperature applications and it’s fully FAA TSO approved with no Airworthiness restrictions,” he added.

Inconel® is the same material used to manufacture jet engine turbine blades. It provides superior performance and longevity over ceramic-coated stainless steel in extreme temperature applications like those found inside of the cabin heater’s combustion tube.

Hartzell has conducted extensive testing to earn FAA certification for the I-Series. Com-bustion chamber flame tests show efficient clean and central burn of the I-Series Heater tube, which translates into improved durability and reliability. The I-Series cabin heaters have a 2000 hour time between overhaul (TBO).
