GAMA Congratulates FAA’s Peggy Gilligan On Her Public Service
Washington, DC — The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) today congratulated U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety Peggy Gilligan on her career and upcoming retirement. Gilligan has served in this role since 2009 and at the agency since 1980, including as Chief of Staff and in the Chief Counsel’s office.
“Throughout her 37 years at the FAA, Peggy Gilligan has been a dedicated public servant focused on ensuring the safety of our skies,” GAMA President and CEO Pete Bunce said. “She has always been willing to work with industry to improve aviation safety, including efforts to use a data-driven approach to dramatically reduce the number of aviation fatalities in the United States. We applaud her for the many contributions she has made, and wish her the very best in her retirement.”
