These new fluorinated solvents are ideal replacements for traditional solvents such as n-propyl bromide and trichloroethylene, which are both undergoing risk evaluation under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). AGC fluorosolvents can be used in most existing vapor degreasing equipment with little or no modification.
