David Thomas to Lead Air Serv Limited

Air Serv Limited provides aircraft charter, facility rental, and maintenance services to a broad array of commercial and non-governmental organization (NGO) users.

WARRENTON, VIRGINIA (June 16, 2010): Air Serv International announces the appointment, effective immediately, of David Thomas of Langley, British Columbia, as Managing Director of Air Serv Limited, the organization’s Ugandan commercial subsidiary. Thomas succeeds Daniel Latimer who is on an extended leave of absence.

“David was Air Serv Limited’s founding Managing Director thirteen years ago, and I’m delighted he’s back on our team,” said Dave Carlstrom, Air Serv’s acting CEO.

Thomas also worked for Air Serv International from 1989 - 1997 in a variety of roles, including International Chief Pilot and Director of Safety and Standards. In 2005 he served briefly as Air Serv’s Base Manager in Bande Ache, Indonesia, overseeing the organization’s tsunami disaster relief operations. A graduate of Trinity Western University and University of the Fraser Valley, Thomas holds both U.S. and Canadian Air Transport Pilot licenses and is an active flight instructor. His professional experience and expertise also includes Information Technology management and web design.
