The Portuguese government announced Oct. 14 that Lufthansa had defeated rival bidder Air France-KLM with an offer of €1.025 billion ($1.2 billion) for a 44.9% stake.
The facility is intended to offer cargo operators and shippers an alternative to Chicago-area airports, where congestion, delays and higher operating costs can complicate freight movements.
The new course, available through Draxon's VR training application, includes seven lessons across two modules covering de-icer components, controls, safety features and aircraft de-icing techniques.
