The global aviation industry continues to fly strong with positive growth momentum in maintenance, repair and overhaul1. Exhibiting at MRO Americas for the second time, Semmco presented its latest solutions, including the SMART Nitrogen Trolley and UCAS XS Variable Height Access Steps.
The SMART Charge and SMART Check digital inflators was also be available at the booth - the latest offering for tyre inflation and pressure checking with the only digital inflator and checker on the market that incorporates a back light.
UCAS XS Variable Height Access Steps
A lightweight aluminium, towable variable height access steps complete with safety hand rails, the UCAS XS provides a height adjustment of the top working platform from 1.75m – 2.5m. The XS is part of the Semmco variable height modular UCAS range which also includes UCAS XL (2.25m-3.2m) and XXL (3.25m-5m). Designed for use when carrying out maintenance on the line on a range of aircraft, they are easily manoeuvrable and adjusted by one person, whilst being fully compliant with international standards and legislation.
SMART Nitrogen Trolley
The Semmco Nitrogen SMART Trolley has a lightweight, compact design that can carry up to three nitrogen cylinders, allowing them to sit at a 90 degree angle. The safe, quick and easy loading and unloading cylinder cradle system reduces manual handling risks associated with movement of cylinders from a vertical to horizontal transportation position. The ergonomically positioned control panel incorporates an easy to operate control panel with clear colour code markings for low pressure inflation of aircraft tyres and high pressure for strut or accumulator inflation. SMART trolley is also available. Both trollies can be supplied on a transport pack/pallet for easy shipping and quick assembly.
SMART Charge and SMART Check digital inflators
Traditionally, inflating the tyre requires a head torch as this process is often done in the dark. Head torches burn battery power fast, which can be costly and cause frequent interruptions to the worker. The SMART Charge and SMART Check are Semmco’s latest digital innovation in tyre inflation and pressure checking, eliminating the need to wear a head torch, with instant results for the engineer. The easy to use, robust units give electronic readings, with a calibrated accuracy of +/-2psi and feature a battery powered back light for use at night; making the process quicker, easier and more accurate.
