LAS VEGAS, October 10, 2017 – Phillips 66® Aviation hosted a check presentation this afternoon at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) to benefit Corporate Angel Network. The $22,000 donation will support the nonprofit organization’s sole mission – to arrange free transportation to medical treatment for cancer patients and their families utilizing donated seats on corporate aircraft.

The $22,000 donation is the result of an advertising program that recognizes and awards four corporate flight departments for their above-and-beyond participation in CAN’s program. This year’s Corporate Angel Award recipients are Allstate, Hertz, NCR and Schweitzer Engineering.  There are more than 500 major corporations that participate in the Corporate Angel Network. The award is co-sponsored by Phillips 66 Aviation (lead sponsor), Safe Flight Instrument Corporation and Business & Commercial Aviation magazine.

“Phillips 66 Aviation is proud to continue our seven-year support of Corporate Angel Network and their mission to arrange free air travel for cancer patients to treatment centers by using the empty seats on corporate aircraft flying on routine business," said Lindsey Grant, Manager, General Aviation. “We encourage other corporations to join Corporate Angel Network to provide even more empty seats to patients and their families.”

Working in conjunction with corporate flight departments, Corporate Angel Network arranges approximately 250 patient flights each month. To date, Corporate Angel Network has completed 53,000 cancer patient flights.

“On behalf of Corporate Angel Network, I want to thank our supporters including Phillips 66 Aviation, Safe Flight Instrument Corporation and Business & Commercial Aviation magazine,” said Gina A. Russo, Corporate Angel Network’s Executive Director. “Our organization cannot do what it does year after year without the generosity of corporate flight departments and donations. It’s our hope that we continue to ease the financial burden of air transportation for many more cancer patients and their families.”
