Zodiac Aerospace – ECE and IDD Provide Flight Deck Equipment and Systems for Gulfstream G650

    ECE and IDD will be featuring the G650 items in the Zodiac booth during the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) conference and exhibition Oct. 10-12 in Las Vegas.

    Zodiac Aerospace, through ECE Company in France and IDD Aerospace in the United States, completed development and certification of various LED flight deck controls and systems for the Gulfstream G650. ECE and IDD will be featuring the G650 items in the Zodiac booth (Booth #6229) during the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) conference and exhibition Oct. 10-12 in Las Vegas.

    The shipset includes the subsystem for the lighting dimming controllers as well as the Systems and Equipment Overhead Control Panels that are the interface between pilots and onboard systems. The overhead panel integrates state-of-the-art components including LED push buttons, designed and produced by ECE in its facilities, and IDD Aerospace lightplates. The Overhead Control Subsystem includes advanced electronics bus controls and communication architecture, enabling advanced mechanical controllers, with a significantly smaller and lighter footprint than previous electro-mechanical design solutions of earlier aircraft models.

    The Zodiac Aerospace group, through IDD Aerospace Company, provides the complete shipset of lightplates both directly to Gulfstream as well as to Gulfstream Tier 1 avionics suppliers providing excellent continuity of the flightdeck, despite an array of suppliers of various cockpit systems. In addition, IDD Aerospace designed and developed a digital control panel for Gulfstream to replace the analog Break Accumulator Pressure Panel Indicator (BAPI). The controller includes an analog to digital converter, as well as a display indicating the state-of-the-brake pressure during landing sequence.

    This program demonstrates ECE and IDD’s expertise in mechanical and lighting solutions, including electrical system control and electronics integration for flight deck solutions.
