NBAA 2011 – Las Vegas, NV -- Conklin & de Decker has released the latest 2011 Aircraft Cost Evaluator Volume II. The Aircraft Cost Evaluator delivers the most up-to-date variable, fixed and benchmarking cost data and is the most extensive operating cost database available to the aviation industry. It is part of the family of aircraft operating cost, performance data and acquisition data products developed by Conklin & de Decker addressing more than 500 jet, turboprop, helicopter, and piston aircraft.

The Aircraft Cost Evaluator (ACE) is the ideal benchmarking tool that is able to assist aircraft owners, operators, brokers and dealers with important side-by-side operating cost and performance data comparisons. ACE helps users make critical decisions on aircraft acquisitions whether they are downsizing to a smaller more economical asset or taking advantage of the market with a larger aircraft purchase or trade. ACE is referred to as the industry standard and is currently used by AMSTAT, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Jet Traveler, Twin & Turbine, Executive & VIP Jets, World Aircraft Sales and many subscribers to ACE also use the data to satisfy SEC reporting requirements.

The 2011 Aircraft Cost Evaluator Volume II release has added seven more aircraft, including the Gulfstream G650, and Boeing 737-900ER jets; Hawker Beechcraft King Air 250 and 350iER turboprops; Eurocopter AS350B3e helicopter; and the New Piper Archer LX, and Tecnam P2006T pistons. In addition to these newly added aircraft, fuel and variable costs were updated, including maintenance and engine reserves, Part 91 and 135 landing distances were added, as well as an easier to read report layout.

With ACE, users can quickly compare up to three aircraft side-by-side, edit nearly two-dozen variables, change currencies, and change measurement units to customize reports allowing comparisons of local costs and salaries. A query function allows the user to narrow the selection to those that meet specific performance criteria. In addition, reports can easily be exported to Word, Excel and PDF with a click of a button.

“Using stale data can really affect your benchmarking process, especially in today’s rapidly changing environment,” commented Bill de Decker, President of Conklin & de Decker. “The industry is constantly changing and ACE is an effective tool that gives owners and operators an impartial way to compare their aircraft operating costs with the industry standard as well as assist them with critical decisions on aircraft transactions,” added de Decker.

The annual subscription price for the latest edition of Aircraft Cost Evaluator is $650 for Jets, $550 for Turboprops or Helicopters and $450 for the Piston databases. Updated twice each year, the cost includes one free update. Handbooks are available for an additional $100 each. Discounts for multiple databases run from $100 to $300. Customized reports for individual aircraft can be special ordered with a 20% discount for multiple aircraft. In addition, multiple user licenses are available.
