Dallas Airmotive do Brasil Experiences Rapid Growth in Honeywell TFE731 and APU Services

Las Vegas, Nevada…October 9, 2011… Dallas Airmotive do Brasil, a BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group (ERO) company, has experienced rapid growth of its engine repair and support business since the addition of Honeywell TFE731 and 36 series APU authorizations in February, 2011. The company’s Belo Horizonte facility is authorized by Honeywell for Major Periodic Inspection (MPI) and line maintenance of the TFE731 turbofan and line maintenance on 36 series APUs. In addition the facility provides line maintenance and hot section inspection services on Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A and PW100 engines.

“Our recent success in Brasil is punctuated by the three contracts we signed during the August LABACE exposition in São Paulo,” commented Hugh McElroy, President of BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group. “These contracts covered everything from component repair to engine hot section inspections on PT6A, PW100 and TFE731 engines.

“The demand for our services from government, military and civil aviation customers has been significant,” added McElroy. “In recognition of this, we are considering options to increase capacity in the region.”

In addition to its on-site resources, Dallas Airmotive do Brasil has access to the full breadth of capabilities of Dallas Airmotive and the BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group. The ERO Group offers customers the benefits of a wide spectrum of products including spare parts and whole engine solutions including new, serviceable, rotable and exchanges. AOG service activities are coordinated through ERO’s F1RST SUPPORT center in Dallas with plans to add a regional F1RST SUPPORT satellite operation in South America in the future. F1RST SUPPORT utilizes state-of-the-art technology to plan and coordinate the logistics of AOG and field service support to provide the fastest and most efficient response to customer requirements.

The company also provides 24-hour field service support throughout South America. It is backed by one of the world’s largest and broadest networks engaged in the overhaul and repair of turbine engines.
