NBAA, Las Vegas, NV. –(October 10, 2011) – International Communications Group (ICG) announced today that its Master Dealer, Talon Air Maintenance Services, located on Long Island, New York has completed the first installation of an ICG SB-200 Sora Lite advanced Inmarsat high speed data and voice satellite communications system on a Cessna Model 650 series Citation III business jet.

"In the year we have been working with Talon Air they have already installed an ICG Satcom system on a Sikorsky S-76B Helicopter and have become extremely familiar with the ICG product line. This installation on a Citation III demonstrates the flexibility and adaptability of the system to this class of aircraft and is a key addition to the growing installed base for our products. We’re very pleased with this strong strategic alliance with a very respected avionics installation and maintenance facility," said Ray Larkin, Eastern Regional Director of ICG.

Talon Air Avionics Director, Mr. Bob Franco commented, "We are pleased to offer our customers a choice of high quality, leading edge technology solutions to meet their passenger voice and internet requirements. Working with ICG allows us to provide extremely competitive pricing and grow our Satcom expertise at the same time.”

The stand-alone system replaced a Flitephone 6 unit with a cabin wireless handset, a cockpit jet phone and RJ45 network 10 base T jacks to provide background IP service supporting 200 kbps of internet connectivity and voice communication to both the cabin and the cockpit. Cobham’s SDU-7310 Satellite Data Unit, HLD-7260 combined High Power Amplifier / Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) / Diplexer and Low Gain Antenna (LGA)-3000 Inmarsat antenna completed the package, which was installed at Talon Air’s Farmingdale NY (FRG) maintenance facility. Similar, affordable installations of the compact and lightweight High Speed Data (HSD) systems are available at Talon Air for a full range of fixed and rotary wing business aircraft.
