LAS VEGAS, Oct. 9, 2011 — Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, said today at the NBAA Annual Meeting and Convention that it is on track to open its second European Citation Service Center by the fourth quarter of 2012.

Construction of the Valencia, Spain, location is scheduled to be completed next summer. Seventeen new employees who will work in maintenance at the facility have received six months of training on all Citation models with FlightSafety International and are in the midst of a year of on-the-job training at Cessna-owned service centers in the United States.

“With a high concentration of Citation business jets flying in Europe and additional deliveries occurring all the time, Valencia will complement our Paris service center,” said Dave Brant, senior vice president of Customer Service. “The Valencia Airport is convenient to many destinations popular with European Citation operators.”

The Valencia Citation Service Center will have approximately 62,400 square feet (5,800 square meters) of hangar space and 38,000 square feet (3,500 square meters) of office and administration spaces. Also, an additional second floor of office space is planned. The service center will provide around-the-clock services as well as scheduled maintenance, and feature hydraulic and battery shops, parts support and avionics modifications.

The newest location is the result of extensive studies, research and negotiations with Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (AENA), Spain’s aviation administrative office. Cessna and AENA signed a land grant contract for a location at the Valencia Airport (LEVC), located within the city of Quart de Poblet, just west of the city of Valencia.
