Peach Aviation and Lufthansa Technik have signed a multi-year component supply contract for 16 Airbus A320 aircraft. To ensure that everything runs smoothly until the first three Airbus A320s are delivered in Toulouse (France) starting in November 2011, Lufthansa Technik has already begun to monitor the aircraft assembly within the frame of the Aircraft Production Inspection Program (APIP).

The components will be supplied to the airline's home base at Kansai International Airport by Lufthansa Technik's facilities in Hamburg and Frankfurt.

"Peach chose Lufthansa Technik as a partner on the basis of our confidence in its ability to provide reliable support for our fleet. We know that LHT has the necessary experience and knowledge to operate in the demanding Japanese environment, with its strict regulations. We believe that the combination of quality, reliability and cost will deliver the best value for Peach in the years to come," says Takeaki Mori, Operations Director for Peach.Ralf Schulze, Senior Sales Executive Lessors & Banks at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg, commented: "Lufthansa Technik won the order not just on the basis of offering value for money. Another critical factor was our ability to offer additional important services."

In addition to the Aircraft Production Inspection Program, this includes in particular integrating material support for the customer into Lufthansa Technik's logistics. The airline works with the TRAX MRO IT system software. With an appropriate modification, Peach Aviation employees can now enter their material requisitions directly. Within the framework of the TCS® contract, Lufthansa Technik's experts will take care of all aspects relating to daily component supplies for Peach Aviation, thus ensuring that the start-up company is in an ideal position to successfully establish itself in the market and extend its route network in the long term.
