Duncan Aviation-Provo Celebrates One Year

It has achieved FAA CRS status, being named a factory service center for both Bombardier and Embraer products and the establishment of a strong and experienced team.

LINCOLN, NEB — In August, Duncan Aviation’s newest maintenance facility in Provo, Utah, celebrated its first anniversary. The facility’s first year has brought many accomplishments, including achieving FAA CRS status, being named a factory service center for both Bombardier and Embraer products and the establishment of a strong and experienced team that has already established a record of delivering quality products on time and on budget.

Bill Prochazka, Duncan Aviation-Provo’s Executive Vice President and General Manager, marks the year as a great success. “We have worked hard to prove to operators that in Provo, they will enjoy the same great Duncan Aviation experience they are accustomed to receiving in Nebraska and Michigan,” he says.

This was apparent to Ben Despres, Lead Engineer with VIH Aerospace, Inc., out of Victoria, British Columbia. “We had been to Duncan Aviation-Battle Creek in late 2009. Our experience in Provo this past summer proved to be a continuation of the expertise and professionalism displayed in Battle Creek.”

Despres’ Challenger 604 visited Provo for 400/1600/3200/6400 Hour Inspections and GE Service Bulletins. “The facility was clean and well-organized, and the team was knowledgeable and dedicated. I appreciated that every effort was made to make me feel at home and a part of the overall process,” Despres says.

Despres would recommend Duncan Aviation-Provo to others. “Due to our positive experience with Duncan Aviation’s Provo facility, they will be quoting on upcoming major inspections for next spring,” Despres says.

In the future, Prochazka and the rest of the team have goals to add technicians and capabilities to continue to meet the changing needs of customers. The facility will also look at expanding its reach of on-the-road response west of the Rocky Mountains and is in the process of adding an “Interior SWAT” team in-house that will be available for smaller interior work.
