Companies participating in PAMA's annual Chili Cook-off raised $6,381 for the Professional Aviation Maintenance Foundation (PAMF).

The Chili Cook-Off was held March 9, the second day of the PAMA Aviation Maintenance Symposium and Aviation Industry Week Trade Show. Hundreds of attendees voted for their favorite chili with "money votes," which benefited scholarships given by the Foundation.

The Professional Aviation Maintenance Foundation is committed to continuous improvement of the aviation maintenance industry by fostering the dedication of aviation maintenance professionals through training and education. The Foundation provides support for deserving Airframe, Powerplant and Avionics students and seeks to improve training, education and reputation of individuals who involved in aerospace maintenance and management.

CRS Jet Spares, Inc. was the title sponsor of the event and beverages were provided by Anheuser Busch. Booth sponsors included: Aircraft Maintenance Technology, Avtrak Inc., Bombardier Aerospace, Dassault Falcon Jet, EMS Satcom, FlightSafety International, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., Jet Professionals, Midcoast Aviation, and Professional Aircraft Accessories.

Sponsors competed for a variety of Chili Cook-off awards. The coveted Tasters Choice award, presented to the highest fundraiser, went to Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. By selling shirts, hats, and aprons, as well as dishing out lots of chili, the booth raised $2,178.

Other awards presented included:

Best Tasting Chili: Jet Professionals

Hottest Tasting Chili: Professional Aircraft Accessories

Best Booth Presentation: CRS Jet Spares, Inc.

These awards were judged by Dale Forton, AEROWORKS; Howie Fuller, Wyvern Consulting Ltd.; Richard Komarniski, Grey Owl Aviation Consultants; Ed Martinkus, Snap-on; and George Miller, Jr., Continental Airlines, Inc.
