On March 28th, 2005 the CRS replacement generator applicable to the Lear 35/36/55 achieved the FAA Certified TBO of 3000 hours. Two generators installed on a Lear 35 operated by Bankair Commuter A/L were recently removed for standard overhaul and placed back in service for another 3000 hours without any inspection requirements. "We have flown approximately three times longer than we were previously able to with these incredibly reliable generators...we have saved the cost of two overhauls on each unit."
