Longtime EAA employee dies in car accident

Daryl Lenz was killed as a result of a single vehicle auto accident early last Saturday evening. (01/28/2006) He was a longtime EAA employee assigned at the Weeks hangar facility and more recently served the aviation industry as a Airframe & Powerplant Technician Instructor at the Fox Valley Technical College - Oshkosh Aviation Center.

This is a "Celebration of Life" ceremony recognizing and honoring Daryl's life and his significant contributions to the Aviation industry. The ceremony is being held at the Eagle Hangar at the EAA Headquarters & Museum, 3000 Poberezny Road, Oshkosh, WI 54902

The Experimental Aircraft Association and Fox Valley Technical College are co-hosting this dedication ceremony for Daryl. The Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home will be assisting with the "Celebration of Life" service in Oshkosh.

The family has established the Daryl Lenz Memorial Scholarship through the Fox Valley Technical College Foundation and asks that memorials be directed to this scholarship in lieu of flowers.

A Funeral Service is being planned at Rembs-Kundinger Funeral Home in Marshfield on Saturday, February 4, 2006.
