Eurojet Italia SpA Opens New Hangar and Maintenance Facility
Milan, May 12th 2006 – Enlarged space is now available for Eurojet Italia S.p.A.'s maintenance services. The company has recently signed a contract of lease of a new hangar at West Linate airport, at ATA's General Aviation headquarters. It is one of the largest and most recently built facilities at the Milan airport.
"Because of the recent business success and the growth we have experienced over the last period, there has been a change in our needs of aircraft maintenance facilities and hangar spaces," stated Edoardo Rubino, Chairman of Eurojet Italia S.p.A. "We needed a new facility that could meet the increasing demand in this sector and with the capacity to house larger aircrafts, such as the Bombardier Global Express, which has been part of our fleet since last year. Furthermore, the work environment influences the quality of work of our technical staff. Therefore, having enough space capacity for the new aircrafts and to meet the increased maintenance demand will certainly result in improved service levels."
The new facility extends over an area of 3,000 m2, of which 2,100 m2 are covered by the hangar and 900 m2 by the offices and warehouse. There is sufficient hangar space to store the whole company’s aircraft fleet based in Milan Linate.
