EAST HARTFORD, Conn., June 11 /PRNewswire/ - Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company, will give away EcoPower engine wash services for 10 aircraft to one lucky aircraft operator at next week's Paris Air Show. The drawing will take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at the United Technologies exhibit (Hall 5, Stand B19-B20) at 3:30 pm CEST. The award, which will cover 20-40 engine washes, is valued at approximately$200,000.

The drawing is open to all commercial and military aircraft operators who register by phone (+1.860.565.0140) or email ([email protected]) on or before June 15, 2007. The winner need not be present to win.

Since introducing EcoPower engine wash service in 2005, Pratt & Whitney has washed more than 700 engines for 35 customers. In less than 90 minutes, EcoPower engine wash can reduce an aircraft's fuel burn by as much as 1.2 percent and decrease engine exhaust gas temperature by as much as 15 degrees C.

Pratt & Whitney offers engine wash services on 22 engine models, including: JT9D, JT8D, PW2000, F117, PW4000, PW6000, V2500, CFM56-3, -5, and-7, Rolls-Royce Tay. Engine washes can be performed at any of the following EcoPower locations: New York (JFK); Dallas (DFW and DAL); Los Angeles (LAX); Victorville, Calif., (VCV); Amsterdam (AMS); and London (LHR and LGW).
