DUBAI, UAE, August 1, 2007 – Landmark Aviation today named Shawn Vick as Chief Executive Officer of its Airport Services business, which offers 33 full-service FBO facilities in North America, Aircraft Sales, Charter & Maintenance, and MRO operations associated with the FBO sites.

Landmark Aviation, whose new ownership Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) announced the formal completion of the acquisition today, intends to build a global MRO operation and will combine the Landmark MRO service centers with Standard Aero as part of the current acquisition. DAE plans to immediately divest Landmark Aviation Airport Services.

The Landmark Aviation Airport Services’ sale process will be overseen by an independent board of trustees made up of former Secretary of Defense James Schlesinger, former Senator Bob Kerrey and former Pentagon Comptroller Dov Zakheim. The sale process will be conducted by Merrill Lynch. Vick, a longtime aviation industry executive, will lead the Airport Services during this period.

"Shawn has a track record of success at Landmark Aviation and more generally, in the business aviation environment," said Rob Mionis, CEO, DAE Manufacturing & Engineering. "His broad and strategic industry knowledge will ensure the success of the Landmark Airport Services business during this period."

Vick joined Landmark’s predecessor company, Garrett/Piedmont Hawthorne/Associated in 2004 with more than 20 years in corporate aviation. His most recent position prior to joining the organization was leading the International, Used Aircraft and Completion Sales business at Bombardier Aerospace.

Originally hired to lead the Sales & Marketing organization, in 2005 Vick was named President of Landmark Aviation.

"I’m delighted to lead Landmark Aviation’s FBO airport services business," Vick said. "This is a strong environment for Airport Services and we intend to continue to strengthen the business and deliver outstanding services at our locations."

Landmark FBO locations offer a full array of services, including 24-hour line technician service and fueling. Some sites also offer full MRO services, including avionics installations and engine maintenance.

Landmark also operates a charter fleet and manages aircraft for customers at its facilities. In each of the past 12 years, Landmark has been named North America’s top Beechcraft dealer.
