Cirrus Design Corporation announced today that its very popular SR fleet has surpassed a significant milestone of 2 million flight hours on a fleet of just more than 3,500 aircraft.

Duluth, Minn. (November 6, 2007) Are you surprised that at most airports, large and small alike, it is virtually impossible not to see at least one CIRRUS? You shouldn’t be as Cirrus Design Corporation announced today that its very popular SR fleet has surpassed a significant milestone of 2 million flight hours on a fleet of just more than 3,500 aircraft.

CIRRUS pilots have amassed enough miles to go to the sun and back more than twice, or more than 15,000 trips around the world. By reaching this milestone, the company has remained true to its mission to provide safety and utility that CIRRUS owners find in their aircraft. Many agree that Cirrus aircraft are used much more for personal transportation than any other single engine piston aircraft.

Alan Klapmeier, CIRRUS Chairman and CEO stated, “When we began development of the SR line it was our intention to produce a product that gives our customers great utility, based around comfort, performance and most importantly safety. Achieving the 2 million flight hour mark, demonstrates our commitment to our customers and determination to grow the industry has been working.”

CIRRUS continues to produce 16 aircraft per week. The SR22 remains to be industry’s top selling fixed wing airplane. The ever increasing CIRRUS fleet is currently serviced by a world class, world wide network of more than 170 domestic and international CIRRUS Service Centers.
