Seattle, Wash. (January, 9th 2008) - Raisbeck Engineering is pleased to announce that Sam L. Jantzen Jr. has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this assignment he served as the Vice President and General Manager. Jantzen joined Raisbeck Engineering in early 2005 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his position as C.O.O. he is responsible for the overall operation of the company, guiding its growth through strategic plans and seeking out new avenues of revenue. He will also continue to strengthen relationships with current customers, suppliers, and OEMs as well as developing additional strategic alliances.

“We are extremely fortunate to have a highly professional and experienced person such as Sam L. Jantzen Jr. to be a part of Raisbeck Engineering,” said James D. Raisbeck, Founder and CEO. “Under his guidance and leadership the company’s revenues have expanded measurably, and I trust his intuition will support Raisbeck for many years to come. I have known Sam for a number of years and have grown to deeply appreciate his overall aviation knowledge and managerial skills.”

Mr. Jantzen began pursuing his interest in aviation during high school as he earned his private license. He later earned his commercial license, multi-engine rating, instructor’s rating, instrument rating, and instrument instructor’s rating. He flew for a small charter company and had his first introduction to national politics while flying a U.S. Congressman to see the constituency in his area.

Jantzen joined Cessna Aircraft Company after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. At Cessna, he held a number of different sales, marketing and management positions over a 14-year period. He also served as International Sales Manager where he reorganized the company’s contracted distribution system and consummated the largest fleet aircraft sale to date. Later, as Division General Manager, he launched the new Conquest Marketing Division for the company.

Jantzen then opened Avstar International in Colorado, an aircraft sales and aircraft business consulting company established to pursue aircraft brokerage in the domestic and international marketplace. During this time he attended Colorado State University to obtain his Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Prior to joining Raisbeck, Jantzen was the Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Commuter Air Technology, an aircraft component design, modification and marketing company. Raisbeck Engineering was founded in 1973 and continues to be dedicated to improving the productivity, safety and performance of business and commercial Jet-powered aircraft worldwide.
