Commercial Aircraft Interiors Gives New Interior Life For the U.S. Navy’s Fleet of C9’s
BURLINGTON, WA 1/15/08– Commercial Aircraft Interiors, LLC officially announces its completion of one of 15 interior overhauls for the United States Navy C9 fleet. L3 Communications in conjunction with the U.S. Navy have contracted the expertise of Burlington, WA, based Commercial Aircraft Interiors. The FAA certified repair station Commercial Aircraft Interiors is the aviation industry one stop source for all chapter 25 interior materials.
The C9 project called for Commercial Aircraft Interiors to completely overhaul the entire interior of 15 C9 aircrafts which include; galleys, lavatories, side walls, partitions, ceiling panels, hat racks, passenger service units, and ventral stairway. The experienced and well-trained staff of Commercial Aircraft Interiors is able to complete this enormous task in just 30 days.
With the delivery of its first plane, Navy official Lieutenant Commander Jim Coogan and L3 Communication representatives were more than pleased with the final outcome of the first overhauled C9 interior. L3 Communications Lead Representative Mike Reddy said, “Most people don’t realize the amount of hard work that goes into producing the quality of workmanship that shows.” CAI General Manager Rick Phillips and President Jerry Welch contribute the successful outcome to the entire hard working team of Commercial Aircraft Interiors; “It was a team effort,” Phillips says.
