FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, May 14, 2008 – CRS Jet Spares is off to a ‘green’ start to making ecological changes in its workplace. In our effort to make an eco-friendly difference within our facility, CRS will be implementing day-to-day activities that lend themselves to creating a greener workplace. CRS’ responsibility in taking small steps internally to help this global cause will be as important as our premier service and support we provide to the business aviation community.

CRS has had efficiency consultants review current operations, and implementation of many of the findings are underway. Going green does not necessarily have to add cost to your operation, and in many instances both short and long term savings can be achieved. People do not generally consider our aviation community as an eco-friendly industry, however a multitude of green efforts exist for all and CRS is stepping up and doing what it can to help the environment. “The Green movement is something we are taking very seriously here at CRS,” stated CRS CEO Armando Leighton Jr. “We are seeking ways to operate our business in a manner that reduces environmental concerns.”

Here are some of the eco-friendly solutions CRS will be implementing in the facility:

• Commute to Work: Many of our employees live in close proximities of each other and carpooling to the office is an efficient activity that works out for several of the them.

• Reducing Paper Waste: While it is unavoidable to eliminate the use of all paper, CRS will reduce its paper waste by limiting the amount of documents that need to be printed. The paper we currently use is 100 percent post-consumer recycled. Documents, letters, and forms will be sent electronically whenever possible rather than printing them out.

• Packaging Material: The boxes we receive parts in and our boxes we get back are recycled through Waste Management.

• Recycling Bins: Small recycling bins have been placed throughout CRS to collect paper, plastic bottles, steel aluminum cans to be collected and distributed to a recycler utilizing Single Stream Recycling Technology.

• Energy Efficiency: There is a change from fluorescent lighting and ballast magnetic to high intensity discharge lamps and electronic ballast.

• Plastic/Foam Cups out the door: Reduction and eventual elimination of Styrofoam and paper disposable goods. The implementation of using long lasting, eco-friendly coffee mugs and Swiss made water bottles is underway.
