Jet Aviation Dusseldorf appointed as Piaggio Aero Authorized Service Center for the P.180 Avanti / Avanti II

Jet Aviation Dusseldorf announced at Farnborough International Airshow that it was recently appointed by Piaggio Aero as an Authorized Service Center for the P.180 Avanti / Avanti II aircraft.

Dusseldorf, Germany, July 21, 2008 – Jet Aviation Dusseldorf announced at Farnborough International Airshow that it was recently appointed by Piaggio Aero as an Authorized Service Center for the P.180 Avanti / Avanti II aircraft.

Jet Aviation Dusseldorf has been performing maintenance work for P.180 Avanti /Avanti II for many years and has now received the Piaggio Aero Service Center Authorization. "With more than 10 years experience on the P.180 Avanti aircraft, our Dusseldorf MRO team has achieved an excellent reputation for servicing Piaggio Aero’s P.180 Avanti /Avanti II," said Johannes Turzer, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Jet Aviation Dusseldorf and added, "The appointment as Piaggio Aero Authorized Service Center underlines their trust towards our Dusseldorf team and capabilities."

The new authorization allows Jet Aviation Dusseldorf to perform maintenance services to P.180 Avanti / Avanti II aircraft up to and including D-Check inspections. Also, Jet Aviation's personnel will attend recurring annual training courses in Genoa.

Jet Aviation Dusseldorf offers complete maintenance, repair and overhaul, avionics, refurbishment, FBO and 24-hour AOG services. The company holds an EASA #DE.145.0011 repair station approval. It is an authorized Service Center for Piaggio Aero P.180 Avanti / Avanti II aircraft, Beechcraft turboprop series and the Premier I, the Hawker 800/800 XP, the Cessna Citation series, as well as the Embraer Legacy ERJ 135. In addition, the facility also provides line and base maintenance for the Hawker 400 XP. The Dusseldorf operation has three hangars totaling 6,400 square meters (11,100 square feet), including various workshops, a spare parts stock and a comprehensive technical library and offers ample space to accommodate aircraft of all sizes on its ramp.
