LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, New York (October 1, 2008) – FlightSafety International and Bombardier Aerospace today announced that FlightSafety will design and manufacture its third Learjet 45* aircraft simulator. The simulator will be installed at FlightSafety’s Learning Center in Wichita, Kansas, which is located adjacent to the Learjet* production facility.

The new Learjet 45 simulator provides training for Learjet 40*, Learjet 40 XR*, Learjet 45 and Learjet 45 XR* aircraft models, and is scheduled to enter service by the end of 2009. It will be equipped with FlightSafety’s industry leading electric motion and control loading system. Simulators equipped with this technology offer an extremely high level of aircraft fidelity, enhanced performance and increased availability due to a reduction in maintenance requirements and increased reliability.
It will also feature the company’s new VITAL X visual system offering highly detailed, texture enhanced scenes, which excels in its realistic presentation of both routine and critical weather conditions.
FlightSafety’s new generation of simulators offer environmental advantages over previous generation devices, producing less heat, lower levels of ambient noise and providing a safer environment due to the elimination of risks often associated with hydraulic fluids and the dependency on petroleum products.
FlightSafety offers training on Bombardier aircraft using a fleet of 56 simulators at 17 of the company’s 40 Learning Centers. Together, these Learning Centers support aviation professionals who operate Learjet, Challenger*, Global*, CRJ*, Q-Series* and Dash* 6, 7, 8 aircraft.
